HP Faces Class Action Lawsuit Regarding Unpaid Overtime

A class action lawsuit has been filed following allegations that Hewlett-Packard Company,  (HP) has been incorrectly categorizing some of its employees as “exempt” and failing to pay them for overtime hours in violation of federal employment law.

HP’s technical support workers, who work in titles such as Technical Solutions Consultants, Technical Solutions Representatives, Technical Support Engineers, and Senior Technical Support Engineers, among others, are responsible for installing, maintaining, and/or supporting computer software and hardware. The lawsuit alleges that these workers were unlawfully denied overtime pay.

Unfortunately, this is common practice with many employers who are attempting to not have to pay overtime to employees.  If you believe your employer has incorrectly categorized you in an attempt to not pay you overtime, please give my office, The Law Office of Todd M. Friedman a call today at (877) 449-8898 for a free consultation.
