What does it mean to be an “at will” employee?

As an “At-will” employee, unless you have a contract with your employer for a specified term or may only be terminated “for cause,” then you may be terminated for almost any reason.  However you may not be fired for the following reasons:

Discrimination based on your sex, religion, race, age or ethnicity

Retaliation for asking questions or making a complaint

If you feel you have been unfairly fired due to discrimination or retaliation be sure to keep all of your evidence and give my office, The Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman a call at (877) 449-8898.
