Class Action Lawsuit Against GameStop Has Been Filed

A class action lawsuit  has been filed against GameStop, alleging that they have been collecting and storing customers’ data, violating California state law in the process.

The woman who filed the lawsuit  claims GameStop collected her name, address, credit card number and personal identification information (PII) after she made a purchase. California law forbids corporations from requiring customers to provide their personal information. She theorizes GameStop uses the info to collect additional info about customers, including home addresses.
