David Levin has spent nearly his entire legal career representing the rights of consumers, handling cases under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, United States Bankruptcy Code (automatic stay and discharge injunction violations) and related state laws. David has also represented thousands of purchasers of defective motor vehicles and other products under various state “lemon laws” and the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. He has represented many individuals who were the victims of consumer fraud (unfair and deceptive sales practices). He even represented residential tenants in the City of Chicago in cases against unscrupulous landlords and property managers. Over the last 20 years, David has personally resolved or managed the prosecution of several thousand consumer legal matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Prior to joining our firm, David has been a partner in his own consumer protection law firm, which represented consumers in ten states. He also helped to build litigation departments in two of the largest consumer law firms in the country. David is a native of Ohio who is now proud to call Chicago his home. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in 1989 and graduated from The University of Toledo College of Law in 1992.
David is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Ohio and West Virginia. He is admitted in all of the United States District Courts in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and West Virginia. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.
